THE WHEEL OF LIFE
How often do you tell yourself that you are responsible for your own happiness? That you love and accept yourself?
We get so occupied with the wheel of life that we forget to be grateful for the things we have.
We need affirmations to change the beliefs we have about ourselves and to see things in a positive light.
Especially now, when the Covid-19 fatigue has been emotionally draining for many of us. Waking up and sleeping to heart-wrenching stories on the news and social media can be mentally exhausting.
Powerful Daily Affirmations
I like to start my day reading the above letter board that is placed on my kitchen countertop. It is a quote by Tim Ferriss, “If you win the morning, you win the day.” It is a reminder to begin the day on a positive note!
I firmly believe that the conversations you have with yourself impact your mind. So, I began practicing daily affirmations.
Life is an unpredictable and bumpy journey. While it is easy to stay calm and positive during happier times, it gets challenging to keep up the same when things get rough.
Writing my affirmations every day acts as a life savior to cope with days when I feel low. I wouldn’t say it takes away all my problems. But it certainly gives me the strength to keep going. To have faith and be optimistic that good things will happen.
Wondering how affirmations can bring about a change?
Do you face self-doubts before taking up a challenge or trying to achieve your goals? I had tons of it!
“I am not good enough to write content that might help others.”
“People are not going to be interested in reading what I want to share.”
The pressure of being judged and your brain nagging you to stop because you think that what you are doing is not worth it.
I kept finding every possible reason whenever I thought of starting a blog. It took me two years to finally begin this.
We tend to think the worst in most scenarios and undermine ourselves. These negative thoughts hamper our confidence, mood, and outlook on perceiving things.
The negative thoughts don’t necessarily have to be bothersome only on professional fronts but in our everyday lives!
Don’t let anyone’s judgments about you make you think otherwise.
Purposeful thinking will not happen overnight. We need to form a habit of practicing mindful thinking. I have written at length about the power of positivity and how it has helped me find life more meaningful by changing my mindset.
Words of Affirmation
How to use affirmations?
Think about the affirmations that resonate with you. These sentences will become your mantra, and they should help you feel positive and energized.
Write down all affirmations in the present tense and write them as you mean them!
Most importantly, don’t just read or say it aloud. WRITE IT DOWN.
EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!
Take this up as a challenge for yourself, and you will find a profound difference in your outlook.
Positive Daily Affirmations
This habit of instilling affirmations as a part of my routine has made me feel more optimistic and built a stronger sense of self-worth.
Let go! All those nagging thoughts which you hold in your mind, write it all down as affirmations- simply put, challenge those negative thoughts to positive statements on paper.
Practice this regularly, and you will see self-improvement, less stress, and a small exercise can indeed uplift your day!
I have started this practice recently, too, and have already begun to love its impact on my day.
The mood swings and feeling blue days tempt me to skip this exercise. But I try to overcome this fleeting thought by pushing myself to spend 5 minutes.
If just 5 minutes can help uplift my mood and energy and make me look forward to the day ahead, then what is holding you back?
This simple exercise is helping me now the most. I have been feeling quite restless and downhearted lately with reading the news. It is difficult to stay mentally healthy at such times.
A few good words to begin the day with can work the magic! Feeling overwhelmed? Write down your thoughts as affirmations!!
Take my word for it and instill this exercise in your routine. I am sure it will brighten your day, especially in these trying times!
You got this!! 🙂
So, what do you think? Could this help you feel better?
You start with this small exercise from today! I would love to read your heartfelt affirmations too!
We can learn from each other’s affirmations! More to add to your list!!
